About Us
The company employs 20 people as
well as the 3 lease operators. “We have two mechanics and we
do our own rig-ups,”
says David. “Our guys do great work. So far
we’ve rigged up three
of our own trucks.”
And there will be
more to come.
“We’ve been very fortunate so far. We have a great staff,
who have proven their loyalty to the business through tough times as
well as the good. We can’t stress enough how important they are
to our company and us. Our dispatcher, Norman Neufeld, has years of
experience both dispatching and driving and keeps the day to day
operations running
smoothly.
“Our Office Manager,
Brenda Menzies,
who keeps the guys in
line and whom we’d be
lost without has been
with us for 6 years. We have a
really good bunch of
drivers, as well as shop
guys.”
All of them have to
learn the answer to
one question they’re sure to be asked sooner or later.
Where did that name come from? Tiggo? David and Eve have two children.
The first, Chance, was a rambunctious little guy so they started calling him
Tigger, after the troublesome tiger in the Winnie the Pooh stories. When
his little sister, Chandyn, was learning to talk she had a little trouble saying
Tigger. It came out as Tiggo.
When the time came to find a
name for their new trucking company,
David and Eve decided that Tiggo
was just the kind of company they
wanted, and Tiggo Transport rolls off
the tongue easily, and it’s a name
that’s hard to forget.
Thanks to their loyal clients Tiggo
Transport has been growing like a rambunctious tiger ever since. |
